Additionally, TaxCut Basic Online by H&R Block is free to prepare your taxes. To access this free service provided by the Department of Defense, you must be registered and logged into the Military OneSource Web site.

Intuit Tax Freedom Project
Active Duty, Reservists, and National Guard members can prepare and file their federal taxes for FREE using TurboTax. To qualify, you must have a 2008 W-2 form from the military and have earned an Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) of $56,000 or less. You may also qualify for a free, if you are filing in a state that sponsors a Free File Program.
